Frequently Asked Questions
- 01Charles offers a personal approach to material selection rather than a single dedicated showroom. He can guide you through selected showrooms and review samples to help you compare materials, finishes, and cabinetry options for your project. Custom samples may be arranged when needed. Visits to completed projects may also be possible, subject to the client's permission and availability.
- 02The initial consultation is a focused 2–3 hour session with Charles to discuss your goals, review your space, and explore layout, materials, and cabinetry direction. Consultations are available virtually via Google Meet or in person, depending on your location. Request your preferred date and time. Charles will confirm the date, time, and consultation format, then send a payment link for the $500 consultation fee. Your appointment is secured once payment is received. The consultation is a standalone paid service. Detailed drawings, 3D renderings, and additional design or production services are quoted separately.
- 03Begin with a 2–3 hour design consultation for $500. After the consultation, Charles can prepare a tailored proposal based on your project scope, size, and level of detail. Bathroom design starts at $750, and kitchen design starts at $1,750. Comprehensive design for a home of approximately 5,000 square feet with four bedrooms and four bathrooms starts at around $25,000. Larger or more detailed projects may range from $30,000 to $50,000. These are starting figures, not fixed quotes. Additional design services are quoted separately from the consultation, and the agreed scope and fees will be outlined in your proposal.

- 05Reach out as early as possible, ideally before finalizing layouts, selecting cabinetry, or scheduling installation. This allows time for thoughtful design, revisions, material selection, and custom production. As a general guide, design for an individual kitchen, bathroom, or closet may take 1–2 weeks, while a whole-home design of approximately 5,000 square feet may take 12–14 weeks or longer. Custom production and delivery typically require an additional 14–16 weeks after the design phase. Timing depends on project complexity, approvals, supplier availability, and the contractor's schedule. Comprehensive renovations may require a year or more overall. Charles will discuss a project-specific timeline with you.
- 06Charles Sevinc Design does not provide installation directly. Charles can recommend contractors with whom he has established working relationships or collaborate with your chosen contractor. Installation coordination and project support are defined in the agreed scope. Your contractor remains responsible for installation and construction work.
- 07Charles provides interior design planning and technical drawings within the agreed design scope. He does not provide signed or sealed architectural drawings for permit applications. If your project requires permit drawings, Charles can recommend a licensed architect and coordinate design information with the professionals involved.
- 08Yes. Charles uses AutoCAD to prepare technical drawings that communicate layouts, dimensions, and design details for client review, production, and installation coordination. The drawings included in your project are specified in your proposal. These design drawings do not replace signed or sealed architectural drawings when those are required.
- 09Charles uses 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona Renderer to create realistic 3D visualizations. Depending on the project, his workflow may also include 2020 Design, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and AI-assisted video tools. Visualizations help you review layouts, materials, and the overall design before production. Renderings and other visualization services are quoted according to the agreed project scope.
